Need Financial Aid? Click here.

Our financial aid philosophy is take what you need and give what you can. We recognize that there are economic hardships, and we want to be accessible to all, so we ask that you pay whatever it is that you can.

The more you can pay, the more children we are able to extend aid to. Before you request financial aid we ask families to consider if there are family members or friends who might help provide a scholarship to your family for this program.

While nobody has ever been turned away for lack of funds, our ability to accommodate financial aid requests rests on the strength of our program enrollment and the generosity of the individuals, businesses and foundations that partner with Wild Earth to make financial aid possible.

We're in this together! Many of us are stretching ourselves to make sure that cost doesn't get in the way of anyone playing, exploring and learning in nature.

How to ask for aid–

Requests for financial aid are processed alongside your registration. This enables you to reserve a space in the program while our team is reviewing aid requests. Register now and reserve your space in LIGHT ON LYME today.

With over 25 years of teaching and research experience, she is a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship, SUNY Adirondack President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, and named a National Science Foundation (NSF) ASM Biology Scholar in 2008. As head of a groundbreaking undergraduate research program for community college students, Ahern and her group are currently researching the complex biology of stealth bacteria such as those that cause Lyme disease, and investigating ways to detect tick-borne pathogens in blood using direct microscopy methods.

Dr. Daniel Cameron, MD graduated from both the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and their Department of Epidemiology and completed residencies at Beth Israel Medical Centers and Mt. Sinai in Manhattan. He has pioneered the field of clinical epidemiology in Lyme disease as an author of practice guidelines, analytic reviews, and clinical trials.

Dr. Glenn Finley earned a Naturopathic Doctorate degree from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. After practicing in Santa Cruz, CA for five years, he moved out East, and co-founded New Leaf Holistic Health in Kingston, NY. Dr. Finley’s philosophy is that optimal health begins with digestion and assimilation. He specializes in digestive disorders, auto immune conditions, Lyme disease, skin issues, endocrine imbalances, allergies, detoxification, and men’s and children’s health. When not lecturing, giving herbal talks, or traveling to his satellite clinic in Vermont, you can find Dr. Finley gardening with his family, cycling, or paddle boarding around the Hudson River.

U.S. Congressman Chris Gibson (NY-19) grew up in a working-class family in Kinderhook, Columbia County, and attended Ichabod Crane public schools. At 17, Chris enlisted in the New York National Guard and later earned an ROTC Commission at nearby Siena College. The first in his family to go to college, Chris graduated magna cum laude with a BA in History. He later earned an MPA and PhD in Government from Cornell University.

Dr Richard Horowitz, MD is a board certified internist in private practice in Hyde Park, N.Y. He is medical director of the Hudson Valley Healing Arts Center, an integrative medical center which combines both classical and complementary approaches in the treatment of Lyme Disease and other tick-borne disorders. Solving the Mystery of Lyme and Chronic Disease” was recently released, and explains his full classical and integrative approach to helping those stricken with tick borne diseases and resistant chronic illness.

Fran Sussman has successfully used a holistic approach for clients with Lyme for over 20 years, and has recovered from it personally, as well. For the past 5 years she has trained with Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD, which has helped her get even better results for clients with chronic and neurological Lyme. She has studied with many of the foremost thinkers in holistic medicine today. Apart from one on one consulting, she offers classes in her office and online, writes the Holistic Outlook column for The Times Herald Record, and offers a wealth of information on her blog.
