Our financial aid philosophy is take what you need and give what you can. We recognize that there are economic hardships, and we want to be accessible to all, so we ask that you pay whatever it is that you can.
The more you can pay, the more children we are able to extend aid to. Before you request financial aid we ask families to consider if there are family members or friends who might help provide a scholarship to your family for this program.
While nobody has ever been turned away for lack of funds, our ability to accommodate financial aid requests rests on the strength of our program enrollment and the generosity of the individuals, businesses and foundations that partner with Wild Earth to make financial aid possible.
We're in this together! Many of us are stretching ourselves to make sure that cost doesn't get in the way of anyone playing, exploring and learning in nature.
Requests for financial aid are processed alongside your registration. This enables you to reserve a space in the program while our team is reviewing aid requests. Register now and reserve your space in Wild Earth’s Local Harvest BBQ & Dance today.

We’re talking pulled pork, brisket, vegetarian marinara “meat balls”, lots of local apples, sides and plenty of delicious apple crisp for dessert.
If you know Wild Earth you know that we don’t mess around. We’ll be graced by the get-down and boogie tunes of the Bernstein Bard Quartet and –assuming our 1-day liquor license comes through– we’ll be drinking the finest ciders and beers that are brewed right here in Stone Ridge and New Paltz.
Thanks to the generosity of countless families, business sponsors and grants, Wild Earth was able to give away more than $62,000 in financial aid this year. We are committed to keeping Wild Earth accessible to all. In order for us to continue we hope you’ll join our Board of Directors and staff in contributing to Wild Earth’s annual appeal.
If you can’t afford $35, but want to attend please pay what you can and we’ll be glad to have you with us. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Space is limited.
Honestly, we wish it were, but it’s really costing us $35 per person (including food, tent, music, electricity, etc.). We wanted to have a party with delicious comforts and the reality is that it’s costing us $35 per person to do so. Our staff, instructors and Board will be paying $35 (or what they can) just like everyone else.
Seriously? Of course! The BBQ is a celebration of all the support we’ve received over the years and in order for us to continue to include everyone who’s interested in nature connection we’re counting on your support. Ready to make a donation now? Every dollar counts.
