Need Financial Aid? Click here.

Our financial aid philosophy is take what you need and give what you can. We recognize that there are economic hardships, and we want to be accessible to all, so we ask that you pay whatever it is that you can.

The more you can pay, the more children we are able to extend aid to. Before you request financial aid we ask families to consider if there are family members or friends who might help provide a scholarship to your family for this program.

While nobody has ever been turned away for lack of funds, our ability to accommodate financial aid requests rests on the strength of our program enrollment and the generosity of the individuals, businesses and foundations that partner with Wild Earth to make financial aid possible.

We're in this together! Many of us are stretching ourselves to make sure that cost doesn't get in the way of anyone playing, exploring and learning in nature.

How to ask for aid–

Requests for financial aid are processed alongside your registration. This enables you to reserve a space in the program while our team is reviewing aid requests. Register now and reserve your space in Sweet Fern Family Overnight Camp today.

Sweet Fern Family Overnight Camp

Wild Earth’s Family Overnight Camp Program strengthens and supports the family bond through shared, empowering experiences in nature.

Join us this August for a very special family camp overnight experience.

The world around us races at impossible speeds, but our little ones intuitively understand that in order to witness all of life’s little treasures, we must slow down and allow our movement to be informed by curiosity and wonder! We invite families with children aged 2-7 to join us for a full nature immersive weekend, camping and connecting to this slower pace.

For this one weekend, let’s unplug from our phones and daily responsibilities as we bow to those mindful rhythms and reconnect with a slow and sweet pace, guided by our little ones and the land. Together we will spend a weekend forging friendships, learning skills and crafts and deepening our connections to our children and the earth that supports us all.

Families will participate in preparing our home in the woods by setting up shelters, cooking and preparing meals and tending to main camp. During the day, we will explore the land, create crafts and prepare our home in the woods. There will be opportunities for families to all be together or to be with age based groups learning and exploring. Activities may include awareness-expanding games, fire-making, earth-based crafts, singing, storytelling, tracking , exploring, and more! In the evening, we’ll enjoy time together around the fire, with snacks, stories and song. All meals will be provided by Wild Earth, and prepared by participants of all ages.

Sleeping arrangements: Wild Earth will provide tarp shelters that protect participants from the rain and elements. This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Families are welcome to bring their own tents if they would prefer a fully enclosed sleep-space.

Past Program Testimonials

“I know my daughter and I are better for having done this seasonal group together and I highly recommend the experience to all.”

“We were guided so expertly and gently to be together – in natural surroundings – as families and with a larger community of others. We shared food, soaked up the mysteries and beauty of nature at different times of the day and in a variety of ways that I’d never have known how to create –playful games or blind folded games that led to trust and giggling; sweet opportunities for the daughters to show gratitude for the mamas through song, homemade food, even a creekside spa; and coming back from each gathering together singing about nature while soaking in the present moment of the moon and stars or the warmth of the summer sunshine.”
