Assistant Instructor is required to be 16 years of by the start of camp unless you’ve served as a Teen Instructor at Wild Earth before; and, have demonstrated the ability working with children and teens in a nature-based program.
Recommended (but not required) certification in Heart Saver CPR and American Red Cross Basic First Aid or equivalent.
The Assistant Instructor works in collaboration with the Lead /Co-Lead to support the overall vision, and safety of their group of 10-14 children. Assistant Instructors committed to their personal growth can shine by leading activities in their clan and in the big circle, by tracking their challenges with clear communication, and seeking regular feedback.
