    Herbalism for Winter Health

This is a three part series dedicated to various aspects of winter wellness. Participants will be introduced to core principles of Traditional Herbalism.

Gather in the kitchen and use practical and fun methods to support resilience during seasonal change. Topics will include body system therapeutics, the use of nutrient dense foods, and crafting herbal remedies. In each 3-hour class, participants will create a different herbal preparation to take home with them.

This class is intended for beginners and those who are looking to further their knowledge in herbal medicine.

ashley-sapir-lathropAshley Sapir Lathrop has been studying and teaching about herbal medicine for over a decade. Ashley makes her own botanical remedies for her family, friends and members of an herbal CSA that she runs with another herbalist/farmer. She loves to help others learn to use local herbs in the traditional ways and enjoys teaching classes, for both individuals and groups. Ashley specializes in working with women and children. She is inspired by generations of herbalists and healers who have guarded the magic of plant medicine for centuries.
