Need Financial Aid? Click here.

Our financial aid philosophy is take what you need and give what you can. We recognize that there are economic hardships, and we want to be accessible to all, so we ask that you pay whatever it is that you can.

The more you can pay, the more children we are able to extend aid to. Before you request financial aid we ask families to consider if there are family members or friends who might help provide a scholarship to your family for this program.

While nobody has ever been turned away for lack of funds, our ability to accommodate financial aid requests rests on the strength of our program enrollment and the generosity of the individuals, businesses and foundations that partner with Wild Earth to make financial aid possible.

We're in this together! Many of us are stretching ourselves to make sure that cost doesn't get in the way of anyone playing, exploring and learning in nature.

How to ask for aid–

Requests for financial aid are processed alongside your registration. This enables you to reserve a space in the program while our team is reviewing aid requests. Register now and reserve your space in Herbal First Aid today.

Herbal First Aid

Learn to create a comprehensive herbal first aid kit and be ready for tick bites, bee stings, sprains, burns and cuts!

In this three hour class, local herbalist Ashley Sapir will show you how to create a comprehensive natural first aid kit by sharing hers with you and describing the actions of each remedy.

Ashley will show you the most important things to have in your kit to address varied injuries, from tick bites and bee stings to sprains, burns and cuts.

We’ll take an indepth look at 15 different tinctures that could be used to treat just about anything that might come up while you’re in the woods. You’ll learn how and when to use the tinctures and there will be plenty of time to address your questions or concerns.

Additionally, Ashley will lead you on a walk to meet some of the first aid plants that grow wild in our area. Particular attention will be paid to the plants that grow abundantly in the Hudson Valley and those that could also be found growing in various regions of the country. By getting to know these plants intimately you’ll always have first aid options to support you in nature!
