Little Sprouts
We welcome your four to seven year old to experience nature in a new way this fall in the Hudson Valley.
The forest offers a world of opportunities for cultivating natural wonder, curiosity, awareness and connection to one another and to the natural world.
Join our fun, caring, seasoned wilderness educators for amazing learning journeys and adventures in nature.
At Little Sprouts, we will sing songs, play games, listen to stories, explore wild crafting, make arts & crafts from materials on the land, learn song-lining and aid-less navigation, and build magical fires together. We will play amongst the trees, create bridges across streams, build houses for fairies and worms, and explore nature’s treasures.
Through the loving action of tending the forest and the land we cultivate a love of the earth. At Little Sprouts we will learn how to care for ourselves and one another as we cultivate kindness, empathy, appreciation, understanding, curiosity, dexterity and resilience.
In the Forest we will:
- Play fun awareness games that build confidence, connection, and open the senses.
- Practice quiet-mind, animal forms, and gratitude.
- Explore the creek and wetlands, making friends with the creatures of the water.
- Sing songs, listen to stories about the forest, and create stories of our own.
- Create a loving connection to plants including some delicious wild edibles.
- Learn skills such as animal tracking, bird language and fire making.
- Build self-awareness, confidence and group unity.
Children walk away from Little Sprouts feeling at home in nature and at home in themselves. We look forward to seeing you in the woods!
