Wallkill View Farm Makes Space for Wild Earth to Bus Kids to Camp

You may have noticed that each morning and afternoon this summer, there is a school bus out in front of Wallkill View Farm.

This year, the Ferrante family, owners of Wallkill View Farm, have collaborated with Wild Earth, permitting them to use the farm stand property to bus about 40 campers each day to Wild Earth’s wilderness-based summer camp in Accord. This has reduced traffic on local roads and minimized the carbon footprint impact of Wild Earth’s camp.

“We are so grateful to the Ferrantes and Wallkill View Farm for their consistent support in making nature connection opportunities available to our New Paltz and Mid-Hudson Valley community,” said David Brownstein, Executive Director of Wild Earth.

In 2004, David co-founded and, today, is the Executive Director of Wild Earth, where he seeks to help regenerate healthy community culture and create opportunities for people to connect with themselves, each other and the Earth. Prior to founding Wild Earth, David worked as a wealth advisor on Wall Street for twelve years before realizing a life dream – fully sharing in the care and parenting of his three children, and creating a small family farm. Today, the Brownsteins raise dairy cows, goats, chickens, bees and vegetables in season. David also maintains an active counseling practice called Root Connections, where he focuses on helping individuals, couples, groups and business leaders identify and manifest their unique vision. Greetings David,

Would like to connect Wild Earth with our family farm this summer.
Thinking of nature trails, fossil/gem mining, & other outdoor
activities … and more importantly I like your philosophy of getting
families outside enjoying Vitamin N together. Perhaps we could do
    a field trip day here.

    Best,
