Red Tailed Hawk Teen Leadership Camp

Red Tailed Hawk Leadership Camp is our program for high school teens ages 13–18. At this camp, we focus on affirming the abilities and resilience teens have developed and exploring how their individuality shapes the Wild Earth community. Over four weeks, teens have the autonomy to choose which skills to explore and the time to complete meaningful, large-scale projects, fostering both personal growth and group collaboration. They also build and refine the skills needed to care for themselves in an untamed landscape, exercising the leadership this entails, all in preparation for an overnight campout during the final fourth week.

Opportunities provided at Red Tailed Hawk Leadership Camp:

    • To build relationships through games and challenges.
    • To work on natural crafts, tool use, and multi-day projects (pottery, carving, tool making for example).
    • To set personal leadership goals.
    • To practice and execute leadership skills with peers and younger campers.
    • To relax and appreciate nature.
    • To camp in the woods overnight!
